Looking at Some Current HPC Interconnect Issues

Josh Simmons' April 21st blog covers his presentation as part of the Interconnect Panel during the recent IDC HPC User Forum meeting in Norfolk, Va. He considers the use of Ethernet and InfiniBand as important HPC interconnects, noting the increasing levels of 10GbE integration on system motherboards rather than as plug-ins.
