Sun x64 Server Platforms to be Supported by Upcoming Ubuntu Release

Several Sun x64 server platforms will be supported on the upcoming Ubuntu 8.04 Long Term Support (LTS) Server Edition. The Sun Fire X2100 M2, X2200 M2 and Sun Fire X4150 servers will be supported by this free dowload that is expected to be generally available April 24th. Read more.

Free Solaris 10 5/08 OS Download Now Available

Just released, the Solaris 10 5/08 Operating System (Solaris OS). The freely available download requires 10 GB of free disk space required, high-speed Internet connection, DVD (recommended) or CD burner and one DVD+R or DVD-R or 6 700MB CD-Rs. Joerg Moellenkamp offered details of what users can expect in the way of new features. Read more.
