For two years in a row the NetBeans IDE has taken the award for the "Best Development Environment" at the 18th Annual Jolt Product Excellence Awards ceremony. Sun has joined The Open Group, a vendor- and technology-neutral consortium focused on open standards and global interoperability within and between enterprises, as a Platinum-level member. Sun will be a contributor to the Architecture Forum, which developed and continues to evolve TOGAF, an industry standard that may be used freely by any organization wishing to develop its own in-house enterprise architecture.
