Quarterly Update of SXDE Will Have Users Rejoicing

Exuberant would not be too strong a word to characterize the response of Phoronix's Michael Larabel to the release of Solaris Express Developer Edition 1/08, given that he uses the term "rejoice" in his description of the expected user acceptance of this quarterly update to the next-generation Solaris Operating System (Solaris OS) built from the latest OpenSolaris Nevada technologies.

Tom Yager Offers a Suggestion for Frustrated Users of OS X

Mac users of the world, unite! InfoWorld's Tom Yager has a suggestion for those of you with AMD processors that are unhappy with the performance of OS X on their machines. What leaves Yager most unhappy is that his need to be able to perform virtualization operations on his Mac is frustrated by Apple's having barred OS X from running as a virtual guest even on its own Macs. His solution? Run the Solaris Operating System (Solaris OS).
