Sun has announced Network.com Application Catalog, a collection of online grid-enabled applications that are available from its Sun Grid compute utility service, has 14 new applications. Additionally, the company has launched a new partner program called the Sun Network.com Connection for independent software vendors (ISVs) to create and expand lucrative on-demand service offerings to end-users.
Sun Vietnam is a joint venture between Sun Microsystems and Frontline Technologies Corporation Ltd. to further establish the company in that country by supporting the rapidly growing interests and demands for enterprise-class IT services and solutions. Sun expects sales offices to open in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in 2008.
