A new ERP System is being implemented by Sun to simplify and improve efficiency, the company reports. Effective January 28th, this new system is offering new Service Items, previously known as Service Part Numbers, and Asset Attach items for Sun Software Service Plans and software subscriptions.
Sun's Enterprise Installation Services (EIS) and System Performance Packs have been extended to the Sun Blade 6048 Modular System. This compute-dense blade server provides 48 server modules with up to 768 processing cores, and provides the highest I/O throughput per chassis at 30.72Tbps.
