Stanford's Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC) has acquired the increased computing capacity it needed with the purchase of a Sun Modular Datacenter (Sun MD), formerly Project Blackbox [19365]. James Niccolai of IDG News Services reports on Stanford's success with this Sun solution, with which Stanford was sufficiently pleased enough to order a second one.
