Sun CFO Michael Lehman Confirms Goal During Sun Analyst Summit
Sun is on target to reach its stated goal of a 10 percent operating profit margin during 2009, as well as this year's financial targets, said Sun CFO Mike Lehman this past week during the Sun Analyst Summit 2008 in San Francisco. He referred to strong sales growth in emerging markets and a shift toward more expensive server and storage setups as positive indicators toward reaching these marks.

Solaris Express Developer Edition (SXDE) 1/08 is available for download. This freely available release of Sun's next generation Solaris Operating System (Solaris OS) is built from the source code repository at OpenSolaris.org and targeted at developers running on x86 systems. This release includes features such as Sun xVM Server, CIFS Server, integrated Web stack (Apache, MySQL, Ruby, Php, PostgreSQL), and much more.
