UltraSPARC T2 Hardware Cryptographic Accelerators

In Lawrence Spracklen's blog, find out more information on the three drivers that can be used to access the UltraSPARC T2 hardware cryptographic features. The drivers are:

  • ncp: similar to the UltraSPARC T1; handles RSA, DSA, DH and ECC

  • n2cp: handles bulk ciphers and hashes
  • n2rng: access to the HW random number generator
