Sun StorageTek 6540 Best-in-Class in Performance and Price/Performance

BM Seer reports the Sun StorageTek 6540 achieved a price/performance of $6.62 $/SPC-1 IOPS, thereby lowering the total cost of ownership among higher midrange systems to $307,710. These results were two times better in price/performance than IBM's $16.03 $/SPC-1 IOPS.
