Quad-Core Intel Xeon Processor 7300 Series Platform Previewed
Intel Endorses the Solaris OS for Xeon-based Servers

Sun demonstrated a new system: a four-socket, 2U quad-core system that runs on the newly introduced Quad-Core Intel Xeon processor 7300. In Intel-related news, Intel also announced that it will support the Solaris Operating System (Solaris OS) on Intel Xeon processor-based servers.

Sun Helps Manage Many Identities Worldwide

The 2H07 update to the User Provisioning Magic Quadrant from Gartner, Inc. placed Sun Microsystems in the leaders quadrant in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for User Provisioning. The Sun products that enable user provisioning include the Sun Java System Identity Management Suite.
