When auto insurance provider Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) found challenges in supporting information to their 11,000 employees, brokers and agents, they turned to Sun and the Sun Java System Identity Manager for its increased functionality and lower TCO.

Sun Java System Directory Server Enterprise Edition 6.1
Support for War File Deployable Console

Sun has announced their first update to its Sun Java System, the new Sun Java System Directory Server Enterprise Edition 6.1. This high-performance directory server includes proxy, virtual directory and data distribution. In 6.1, there is a new database compaction that lets customers recover unused disk space.

New Course on Sun Java System Identity Manager Starts 9-17-07

A new course is being offered by Gabriel Magarino, and it is hosted on the JavaPassion.com site of Sang Shin. The first class will be on September 17, 2007, and will provide an overview of the Sun Java System Identity Manager, installation and interfaces and objects.
