Sun is offering a plug-in for Microsoft Office that allows users of Microsoft Office 2000/XP/2003 to read, edit and save to the OpenDocument Format (ODF). The add-on (extension) is called the Sun ODF Plug-in for Microsoft Office. The plug-in allows users the ability to seamlessly convert Microsoft Office documents to and from ODF. The ODF plug-in supports Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

SunSM Software Support Services

Sun Software Support Services are tailored to provide backline support to customers' helpdesk engineers and system administrators. "Backline" support is also referred to as third and fourth level support. Typically in-house helpdesk support provides first and second level support; Sun will provide backline support for the plug-in.

Sun Software Standard Support consists of: Unlimited telephone and online access to expert technical support for Sun software during extended local business hours (12 hours), five days a week. Sun Software Standard Support provides customers with four business-hour response on Priority 1 (Urgent) requests, online incident submission and tracking, and access to online self-solve resources.
