New Scripting Language JavaFX Script Simplifies Content Authoring

Sun released the early alpha version of a new scripting language, JavaFX Script. The scripting language is designed to help developers create content faster. It takes advantage of Java's ubiquity and runtime. JavaFX Script offers a close integration with other Java components (applications and infrastructure).

NetBeans IDE 6.0 Preview Release Now Available
Improved Code Editing, Ruby/JRuby/Ruby on Rails Support

The NetBeans 6.0 Integrated Development Environment (IDE) Preview release is now available. New features include support for Ruby and JavaScript and enhancements to the NetBeans GUI Builder.
