Ten years ago, what was news at Sun? 9.1 and 18.2 GB disks working with Solaris 2.5.1 and the Sun StorEdge L280 with a native capacity of up to 280 GB of backup storage.

Five years ago, Sun announces the T3 Array with 1 GB cache controller array configurations using 181 GB GB/7200 RPM FC-AL disk drives. Sun also introduced the 9840B FC Tape Drive for the Sun StorEdge L180, L700 and L6000 Tape Libraries.
