Updating Fibre Channel Drivers to Use Sun StorEdge SAN Foundation Software
The Leadville FC stack is fully integrated into the Solaris OS for high performance

A recent Sun Developer Network article illustrates why upgrading to Sun StorEdge SAN Foundation Software, codenamed Leadville Fibre Channel (FC) stack, offers significant advantages over the traditional SCSI emulation drivers while providing critical new capabilities for customers linking their servers running the Solaris Operating System (Solaris OS) to SANs.

Sun StorageTek 2540 FC Array and 2501 SAS Expansion Array with Integrated Services
A low cost, storage solution with simple management, small footprint, strong performance and reliable data protection

Sun introduced a new series of storage arrays that are based on a new low-cost SAS/SATA disk subsystem, providing consolidated RAID to FC, and SAS host interfaces. The new ST2500 series includes the Sun StorageTek 2540 FC array, 2530 SAS array and 2501 SAS Expansion array with Integrated Services (Sun System Packs).
