BigAdmin Tech Tip Shows How to Find Device Drivers for Solaris OS
Provides Information on Third-party Drivers as Well

A tech tip from the Sun BigAdmin site explains how to add device support to the SolarisTM Operating System by attaching an existing Solaris driver to a new device.

The tip directs users to the source of third-party drivers should they require support for a device that Solaris OS does not support. It also, of course, provides information on where to locate device drivers in the Solaris OS itself. There are detailed instructions for navigating the man pages on Device and Network Interfaces.

Authors of the tech tip also solicit information from users on successful searches for device ID/driver combinations.
