Daylight Savings Time Information for the Solaris Operating System
DST Begins in U.S. on Second Sunday in March

The Solaris Operating System (Solaris OS) requires updates to ensure the change in the start/end dates for daylight savings time (DST) are correct. DST in the U.S. will begin on the second Sunday in March and end on the first Sunday in November. Information is available on the SunSolve site and the BigAdmin site.

OpenDocument Format Plug-in Application to be Available
Read and Write MS Documents in ODF

A plug-in application is now available that will convert text documents (currently .doc/.odt only) so that Microsoft documents can be read and written in the ODF (the OpenDocument) format. The application is called the StarOffice 8 Conversion Technology Preview.
