The University of Alabama at Birmingham Health Services (UAB) wanted to improve the delivery of patient information across their large clinical care setting while maintaining privacy of patient data. They selected Sun Fire servers, Sun Java System software and Sun Ray thin clients to aggregate information from disparate systems and keep the costs of their desktop systems down.
