Sun's Customer Engineering Conference 2006
Reports and Resources Online

Sun's Customer Engineering Conference (CEC) 2006 was held in San Francisco in early October. It is a technical gathering of customer-facing engineers. There were demonstrations on SolarisTM 10 Operating System (Solaris OS) adoption, SunTM Cluster 3.2 and ZFS.

Sessions covered topics such as the HPC project at Tokyo Tech and the architecture of the Thumper (Sun FireTM X4500 server).

Prototype DTrace tcp Provider

At the CEC 2006 conference, Bryan Cantrill and Brendan Gregg demonstrated a prototype DTrace tcp provider - part of a planned collection of DTrace network providers. Command line output screenshots are available online.

Online CEC Content
