More News on Sun's Plans to Open Source Java SE
Community Involvement Sought

On August 14, 2006, in San Francisco, Sun held a small event to provide an update on plans for open sourcing Java technology. The JDK Community web site reported that Rich Green, Laurie Tolson, and Alan Brenner attended the event and talked about open sourcing the Java SE platform, and also Sun’s implementations of the Java ME CLDC and CDC platforms.
