Telco-Critical Service
Service Enabling OEMs to Deliver End-to-End Solutions

Sun announced the first telco-critical service offering to support an entire desktop and server product line. The Sun OEM Advantage Services program addresses critical needs that original equipment manufacturers in the telecommunications industry face in delivering high levels of value-add services, while shortening the development cycles of their services and controlling costs. The OEM Advantage Services program helps ensure maximum uptime to support development cycles and additional backup by Sun's telco-critical support services. The program effectively fits the telco business model but is available to OEMs in all industries.

Features

  • Developed for Sun's full desktop and server product line, not just specific servers.

  • Worldwide 7x24 telephone support for hardware and software.

  • 4-business-hour hardware and software response commitment for critical issues, with 2-business-hour commitment option available in many geographic areas.

  • Priority status within Sun Solution Centers to expedite telco-critical issues.

  • Sun Professional Services consultants are available to provide network platform architecture and smooth implementation of the OEM systems.

  • Sun Educational Services consultants are available to provide skills assessments, training and certification, with training discounts available to OEMs. Specific OEM training programs are being developed and will be announced at a later date.

  • Ongoing help desk audits maintain high levels of staff expertise to identify problems that may lead to system downtime.
