Sun FireTM E25K servers, Sun FireTM E6900 servers and the SolarisTM 10 Operating System (Solaris OS) will run the billing system for a large telecommunications service provider in Bangladesh called Grameenphone Ltd. Using the servers with the UltraSPARCR IV+ Chip Multithreading (CMT) processor provides the company with an efficient billing system while maintaining a reasonable price point. This is the first time these servers are being deployed in Bangladesh.
