Oracle Communications Continues to Simplify Design and Delivery of Network Services to Support NFV and Business Agility [44694]
New release of OSS suite enables agile and seamless network service design and order delivery across physical, virtual, and hybrid network environments

For communications service providers (CSPs), the design and introduction of new services is often a lengthy and manual process - especially when such services span physical and virtual networks. Exceptions such as order jeopardy and fallout, the design and delivery requirements for customized business-to-business (B2B) services, and the dynamics of newly virtualized networks add to this complexity.

Oracle Communications has released a new version of its operational support system (OSS) suite to help CSPs rapidly and agilely design services spanning physical and virtual networks. The suite is also designed to help streamline the operational delivery of customer orders- including high-growth B2B and wholesale orders - enabling CSPs to capitalize on the opportunities of a network function virtualization (NFV)-driven communications world.

Oracle Communications Virtualizes Its Products to Support Network Function Virtualization Industry Initiative [43635]
Underscore commitment to provide communications service providers

Oracle announced the release of four products that underscore its commitment to provide communications service providers (CSPs) with a fully virtualized, network function virtualization (NFV)-ready solution portfolio.

Just as the cloud has transformed the IT industry, NFV is transforming the communications industry by enabling CSPs to move beyond the limitations of proprietary hardware to revolutionize service agility and speed to market. However, virtualizing networks is not enough; CSPs must consider how to transform the network to meet customer needs and grow the bottom line, while best leveraging existing assets in the new hybrid network reality.

With new releases of Oracle Communications Session Border Controller, Oracle Communications Converged Application Server, Oracle Communications Services Gatekeeper, and Oracle Communications Policy Management, Oracle helps CSPs conquer the layers of complexity inherent in bridging physical and virtual environments as they continue on their journey toward NFV.

Oracle Communications Advances the Cloud and IT in the Network [43205]
with the Demonstration of Next-Generation Network as a Service

"Communications service providers (CSPs) know they must quickly transform from a static and network-device-centric service model to one that is dynamic and cloud-centric by leveraging advancements in software defined networking (SDN) and network function virtualization (NFV).

This shift is especially critical for CSPs that provide services to business customers because setup and delivery can be highly manual and costly, and businesses can't control how much or how little of the resulting network they use.Oracle Communications,in collaboration with InfoVista and Juniper Networks, will lead a Catalyst project at TM Forum Live!, 'Zero-Touch Network as a Service: Agile, Assured, and Orchestrated with NFV,' that squarely addresses this challenge..."

Oracle Communications Advances Network Function Virtualization [41546]
by Delivering Carrier-Grade Data Center Performance

In a move to transform their networks, many communications service providers (CSPs) are starting to transition from their traditional appliance-based network functions to a virtualized, software-based model-also known as network function virtualization (NFV).

The promise of this approach is more service agility and lower operational costs. But virtualization had yet to prove that it can deliver the same network speed and reliability performance provided by traditional network appliances - until now.

Working with Intel and leveraging Enhanced Platform Awareness in OpenStack, Oracle Communications has delivered the industry's first successful demonstration of carrier-grade network performance in a virtualized environment...
