New 146GB 10,000 rpm SFF SAS Disk Supports SAS2
Sun has announced that new SFF 146GB 10,000 rpm SAS disks are now available for the Sun Blade T6320 and T6340 Server Modules as Assemble-to-Order (ATO) and X-options. These new disks are SAS2 capable and offer better availability. Up to 4 can be supported on the Sun Blade T6320 server module and up to 2 on the T6340 server module.

Customers of the Sun SPARC Enterprise T5120, T5220, T5140, T5240, and T5440 Servers now have an ATO and X-Option for 300GB 10K RPM, 2.5" SAS hard disk drives. The 300GB drive comes with the largest memory capacity of any disk option that Sun offers in a 2.5" form factor. In a 16-disk configuration, which is available on T5220 and T5240, this new disk drive option allows up to 4.8TB of storage within a compact 2 rack unit (RU) server.
