NetBeans IDE 6.7 and 6.7.1 [22261]
Latest Versions and Their Features, Benefits, Requirements

The newest features in NetBeans 6.7 involve the integration of Project Kenai - a collaborative environment for developers to host their open-source projects - native Maven support and Hudson integration. This release also offers enhancements for Java, PHP, Ruby, JavaScript, Groovy and C/C++, among others, and brings support for SVG Rich Components, remote debugging in Ruby and the latest version of GlassFish. Update 6.7.1 is also available. It is considered a minor update although it does add support for the latest features of JavaFX.

All From Within NetBeans IDE Itself; Little Need to Resort to Browser

The capability that the new NetBeans IDE 6.7 release delivers, allowing developers to easily collaborate with each other on Project Kenai right from within the NetBeans IDE rather than through a Web browser inside the IDE found favor with eWeek reviewer Jeff Cogswell, who called this one of the biggest improvements in the release. Because the Project Kenai site itself includes full support for source code repositories, developers can connect through any of several source code version control systems, he notes.

Considered a significant update to NetBeans 6.5, this new release integrates Project Kenai with the IDE so a whole team of developers can work together to create Kenai projects, edit, debug, build, and commit code, all through one interface.
